Sub Conscious: Manly or Wimpish?

recently i came across a site where several male subs were decrying the 'stereotype' of wimpish subs. they claimed to be muscular studs who, while while enjoying women controlling their time together, inflicting punishment, and even subjecting them to 'humiliating' activities, otherwise lived up to the male image of psychological and physical strength and coolness. imagine the marlboro man aloofly wearing panties.

most male subs. i believe, do tend to the wimpish when living their sub sides. i do. i'm sure in fact that part of the attraction of being sub for many of us is being able to lay aside the male stereotype. thus the plethora of sissies and cross-dressers and even infantilists, and the high percentage of subs who are hard-charging executives in their vanilla life and thus spend much of their existence living up to the male stereotype.

but i'm not sure what most dominants enjoy. what floats more dominant boats: a wimp cowering under their control or a manly stud who will do their bidding? something in-between? or perhaps a versatile sub who can cater to different moods? any dommes out there want to enlighten us? :-)
